Joy making Jackolanterns

James had a blast being a helper with the jackolantern carvings. He sure thought the coolest part was gutting all the yuckies out of the inside and getting dirty. Every night he wants them lit up. He will take the tops off and hand me the candle.I love how much joy he gets from something so simple and fun for me too. Here's the fun we had: I think the pictures will tell you about our exciting night, carving our cool pumpkins with our friends, the Galambs.
Daddy helped poke and cut out the lid, while mommy and big guy gutted and got gooey. Daddy stayed away from the slimmys, he thinks it nasty and just gives him the he-bee-gee-bees. I did most of the cutting out of our pumpkins with a little help from Shambray.
Here is our overall production of scary jackolanterns carved, cleaned and lit. James' favorite one was the bat, I think it is because it reminds him of Batman, plus it's easy for him to say "BAT" too.
Thanks Alex and Shambray for your creativity, company and fun. All of our pumpkins turned out way cool.

Fall Farm Fest

To get into the whole Halloween spirit we went to the Payson Farm Fest.
I made Rachel her own Halloween cute outfit. As you can see I am totally into the Halloween spirit. I just love it. The colors are so much fun and we are excited about our family costumes this year. You'll have to wait to find out what incredible costumes we support.
James loves ponies, and would not leave the area until he was able to ride one. He just holds on tight and focuses hard. There still isn't much smiling, just serious grins. Here he is our little tractor driver too.
We had a ton of fun holding Rachel and having her be the scarecrow, but most of all she was cute to look at.
James rode on a train as well with me, it was the most bumpy ride ever in the field. "Hay Ray" for Halloween in a few days.

Chalk and Cheetahs

How can I ever resist a face like this. He just melts my heart. I had a blast showing him how to write with chalk on the sidewalk. He is so much fun to teach and is a total tease. I love his cool, cute and funny personality. Whenever I say smile he gives me the biggest, cheesiest grin. He is so dang cute and fun to hang out with everyday. He thought the picture of the fam was neat. Everyday until it wore off, he would point to each picture and say the names: baby, momma, daddy and for him he'd point to himself. For FHE one night we went to the BYU Bean Museum. James had a blast and couldn't believe all the animals that looked so real. He was so interested and would point to the ones that he likes. His favorites were the bears and cheetahs.
At one point he became kind of sad. He kept on going back to the bob cat that was killing a bird. I really think James has a soft heart for animals and pain. He kept saying "ouch". Don't you just love his Superman cape? He definitely has his days where he won't leave home without it. Family time is so much fun and it is really neat seeing how excited James gets to learn and see new things. Rachel is probably some how taking all of this in too. Josh is the best daddy around. He just adores his little ones and loves holding his little girl all the time when he is home. I see in his eyes and actions just how much he loves his little guy too, he always expresses how great of a son we have and how he would do anything for him. He loves being with his daughter and son and just wishes it was all the time.

Witches

Visiting Gardner Village was a treat for all of us. I went with all my sisters (in-laws) and mom. We had all the kids come too. It was such a cute atmosphere and tons to look at, just wish I had tons of money to buy all the cute Halloween decor.
Us girls and all the babies had a great Halloween stroll.
James wasn't quite sure what to think about all these huge, green ladies that just stood there. So he would stop and take a look. I could tell he was curious.
Here we are watching the hula witch while others are shopping.
Meeting BUZZ LIGHT YEAR, James' favorite character of all was quite a treat. He couldn't take his eyes off of him and he would follow him around. I had Buzz shake his hand, James thought that was pretty neat. (Right now as I am writing this he is sitting on my knee saying, Ah Buzz, A Buzz, A Buzz over and over again. He is so obsessed and cute about BUZZ.)
These baseball witches were one of our favorites, and the kiddo's even got to play around and tackle each other for a while.James sure loves his cousins. He has a good number of boys his age on the Nielson side. They all like to run around and tackle each other down to the ground. James has learned to be pretty tough.
When James saw the horses he freaked out and kept on tugging on me and saying "PEAS", that is his please. I couldn't resist. He got his pony ride. Every time he came around and saw me, I would tell him to smile and this is the face I got. Wow, it looks like he is having the time of his life. But I know he loved it because he didn't want to get off after the ride ended.
Thank goodness for Halloween and cousins, they are so much fun!

Momma's little doll

I have been having way to much fun dressing Rachel up. She is my little doll. I seriously love each morning and deciding what to dress her in. She just makes everything look so cute. I have been creating my own clothes for her, with no patterns, but just ideas of what I want to put on her. It is so fun creating and seeing how they turn out. Here are just a few of the dresses, skirts, onesies, blankets, burp cloths and flowers I have made for my sweet little dolly.
Here are some of the blankets I have made, you've probably already seen them in other pictures. As you can see I love the animal prints with pinks.
I made these leg and arm warmers too, just cause it's a little chilly out now days. I had a lot of fun making these, and they look so adorable and prissy on her.And just so James didn't feel too left out, I made him a shaggy tie. He's a little stud like always, and he even kept it on for all of church.Crafting and creating has become one of my favorite hobbies, it totally gives me satisfaction, enjoyment and adds on to my artsy personality. I love sewing and I have learned most of it on my own, through mistakes and blog tutorials. So if you see me crafting for the next few weeks, it's because I am getting ready for a craft show in Canada.
