Our first home- a huge blessing

We give THANKS everyday

It was a true blessing to move into our own home 6 months after we got married. Our home is our favorite place to be and is our haven away from the world. We have so much room and we even have a yard to take care of. My favorite thing about our yard is that we get fresh fruit. We have so many fruit trees. Apples, nectarines, peaches, pears and apricots are our everyday treat during the summer. Josh was seen constantly taking care of our yard and his favorite thing to do was prune the trees. Thanks to our neighbor, we have become more educated on the aspects of yard keeping.
My cute babe just chilling at home. My favorite place in our house is our bedroom. It is so cozy and comfy, plus I spend alot of time with my hubby here.

Our house has the perfect view of the mountains.

All around, we have had many memories built in this home and know that there are many more to come. Everyday Josh and I look at eachother and always thank God for blessing us with shelter and eachother.
The slide show below is a faster and easier way to recap our first summer married to one another. We traveled to Canada, California and enjoyed good old Utah.

Fun in the Summer.

Recap of the next six months, making it ONE year!

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!

My husband is the one who I have dreamed of my whole life. It is crazy how life ends up so differently then we expect. I love that the Lord has a hand in our destiny. I will definalty say that I have been truly blessed to have a husband who makes me laugh and smile everyday. For anyone that knows him, he is the guy that is always making others feel good about themselves and is the center of attention. Plus, he's the good looking one too.
One of the many qualities that I love about my Joshy is how good he is with children. He definalty is one of the favorite uncles to many of his nieces and nephews. It's all because he plays around with them and gives them the attention they all need. Josh is a baby hog sometimes, yet it's a tie between Momma Rose and Josh on who is the biggest baby hog. I love watching Josh with little ones, it gives me an idea on the amazing father he will make to our children one day. CRAZY US!

This was a crazy experience that all of us will never forget. My brother in-law, Josh put his brother up to it. He is a K9 cop and he made his dog attack all of us, one at a time, with only an arm protector. It definalty made our blood boil a bit to much.
HAWAII, A DREAM COME TRUE!!
My husband made my dream come true. For my graduation present he flew us to the island, Kawaii, which is in Hawaii. We went with our friends. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been to in my life. Our new dream is to return to this island again.
We went hiking up to some amazing waterfalls. Once we reached them, they took our breath away and we couldn't resist but go for a dip.
Our favorite place in Hawaii was the Hyatt resort area. It looked exactly what you imagine Hawaii to look like- palm trees, fresh sparkling water, sun and sand. We hung out for hours in the little lazy rivers and on the ocean.
To make our trip complete we enjoyed a live presentation with food, dancing, fire show, etc. All I know is that the Hawaiians know how to have a good time.
This was one of my favorite picture that I took. It was incredible looking into a field that was so fresh and alive. I noticed that everywhere I looked there was different scenery from all angles.

MY GRADUATION!!!!!

I was so excited to graduate from College. To achieve such a recognition felt great, all of the hard work was finally worth it. I will admit that school has not always come easily to me. It has been a challenge and I had to push myself to finish. I am so glad that I changed my degree to elementary education. This is truly a degree that I have always felt would be forever rewarding and it made the most sense to me as one day I hope to be a mother.
My husband was my biggest cheerleader. I finished my last semester right after our wedding and always felt more strength because he believed in me. Thanks hunny for allowing me to achieve my dream. My Elementary Education Class Graduates of 2007 My good friends from class. We sat with each other almost everyday for our last 2 years of school.
My fan club. I felt like I had so much support from my family members. Thanks for making time to come and see me receive my bachelors degree. The first unoffical graduates graduating from Utah Valley State University. Thanks family, your support and love was truly felt that day. I honestly believe that special moments like this would not be as enjoyable if I didn't have anyone to share them with.

Recap of the first 6 months of marriage

Our Canada reception took place 3 months later. We had a lot less decor and a little more dancing.
My favorite men and I showing off how tough we really are.
My favorite ladies and I blowing kisses. Love you gals.
The Leavitt Crew smiling. We were glad that Lindsey could be there to celebrate with us. She came home from her mission the night before our 2nd reception.
Our reception just wouldn't of been the same with out CRAZY MARISA. She brought the house down with her solo----- She gives me LOVE LOVE LOVE, CRAZY LOVE. Josh Nearing (brother inlaw) surprisingly announced that she would be singing for everyone. So my tough sister inlaw showed no fear and sang her little heart out. That was just the beginning of the crazy dance that followed.
Josh had no trouble fitting in with the crazy Leavitt clan. It came easy to him, cause we are all crazy, besides Mike that is. (lol) Before all of my sisters and I were married, we would tell eachother that our husbands better get along or else....... All of our husbands get along like bros. I find it so much fun all being together, cause we are all about the same age. Now we are just trying to get eachother to move closed to one another.
I realized that children are the ones who make Christmas so much fun. Little Lill's was definatly the one who brought the season alive. Even though she was the only niece who really knew what was going on, every single one of us were more excited about how happy and into it she was. Thank goodness for little ones, they bring so much joy in little things.
Izzy, was just chillin and not really understanding the excitement around her. All she knew was that she the center of attention, because of her cuteness.
After only 3 months of marriage, we realized that we were really blessed to be alive. Josh and I got in a huge car accident, all I remember is Josh telling me it was black ice and to hold on. As we headed for the ditch, sadly we hit a huge water pipe that made our car flip over and land on its right side. We walked out without a scratch. I must of been in shock, because I started to walk down the freeway only worried about getting help and finding out that we were in the middle of no were. The car was thrashed and have had to learn what it is like now to have only one car to share between the 2 of us. Josh and I both agree that this first year of marriage has flown by so fast. It seems like we haven't been married for very long, yet at the same times it feels like we have known eachother for our whole lives. I still think it is crazy that the first year is already gone. I can't imagine my life without my hotty taughty, naughty body man( inside joke). As I look back at what I have learned in the last year, I come to realize that the lessons taught were basically for me to grow and find out more about myself. Marriage is a different language and guys and girls pretty opposite. Before I got married, I could care less about what other guys thought of me and I just lived my own single life . As our life now includes the two of us, who are both very opinionated and passionate about life ,we have had to learn how to compromise and be more willing to give up small things for the better. I love being married and living my life with the man who has made me laugh every single day of our marriage.
I never realized how much I really needed someone with a sense of humor. Joshy is the man who can turn a sad moment into a moment of laughter. I have learned how to laugh at myself and to enjoy what is given to me. I feel that life is a test, and that it can be enjoyed even more when we all learn to relax and laugh at the mistakes we make. Trust me, I have laughed alot at my past. As Jen and I were roomates with eachother for about 5 years, we seemed to find our husbands at the same times as well. I guess God had it all planned out for us, we were married a month apart from eachother.
As everyone knows I am all about dressing up and going way out for certain holidays. I have never missed dressing up for Halloween, and I always find a different costume for each year. It is my goal to continue on with the same throughout our marriage. Even though my babe is not much into the whole dress up thing, he has been a true champ about it. Our first Halloween together consisted of Batman and Batwoman for our friends Halloween party.

The actual day of Halloween, we dressed it down abit and acted the role of a blood sucking nurse and victim. We had a blast taking cute little Molly trick or treating.

Reception

Our reception was beautiful and of course messy at times. Yet, each moment made Josh and I smile.

The Nielson family is my other family. They are all so beautiful in and out. I could never ask for a better half of a family. They are crazy, fun and inspiring. Thanks to you all for always accepting me and taking me in as your daughter or sister. Love ya tons!!

My brother and inlaws were all out to make a mess. Yet, no one was going to stop us from going on our honeymoon.
I adore my bridesmades. They have been a big part of my life and I love you guys to death.

I have always known how blessed I am because of my parents. They are the most remarkable people and I always look up to them. My brother and sisters know how freakin much I love them, they are my bestfriends. I am proud to be a Leavitt, but now have turned my name over to the famous name of a NIELSON.
Our reception was so beautiful thanks to my 2 wonderful mothers. Their touches with details was exactly what I had in mind. We planned for a garden reception in mom's backyard, but the weather was a little to chilly. Thus, we moved it into the house and it was just as nice. We had a blast with all of our friends and families. I could have never asked for anything to be different.

Bridals

My babe came for the bridals, as I thought it was a lot nicer to have him in some pictures, instead of me in every single one of them.
My little niece, Lilli honestly thought I was a princess. She followed me around all day. She was only 2 and was all into the princess phase. It was so cute.

A WEDDING WONDER

Our family was happy that we FINALLY found eachother after all of these years. Septemeber 22, 2006 was rainy, yet perfect. We got married early in the morning in one of the most beautiful places, the Salt Lake Temple. The experience was amazing. Everyone looked so great and it was a time I will never forget. I got married to my best friend.
