Spring Break to a Winter Get Away

Before our retreat to Canada we were able to go to our nephew's baptism. I have always loved baptisms, because it is a time to honor that individual for growing up and now taking accountablility for their decisions. Along with the baptim we had the pleasure to see family. We had Josh's twin, Jarod and his wife Lacey over. It is always a blast to see those two boys together. They are very much the same, yet so different too.

Our Spring Break did not feel like Spring Break. Sure, I enjoyed every minute of the week off, yet the weather would of other wise said it was Winter Break. We had a very cozy ride up to Canada. My older sister flew up with her 2 cuties and we all piled in our car and drove the 12 hours to Canada. Why? You may ask. Well, so all of my family could be together. I honestly feel that these are some of my favorite, most fun times that I experience. There is nothing better then being with your bestest friends, who are your family. We are always laughing so hard, giving eachother a bad time and just having a hoot.

While we visited we stayed at cute little Amber and Brads new house for a few days and then headed to Banff National Park to stay in an awesome resort. It was up in the beautiful mountains and it felt nice to get away from all the cares of the world.
We had a great time celebrating Amber's birthday at a resturant and making her a windex ice cream cake. Happy 22nd Birthday Amby Bamby, hope you had as much fun as we did.

We went hiking abit and got to see some very pretty areas. The trails were a little icy, yet we made it just fine.

We made a day out of going into town and visiting all of the shops. Our favorite was the candy and fudge shop. Wow, they had more then you can imagine. Little Izzy was in heaven with all the candy and colors around her. I loved watching her just check out everything she could get her paws on. Mikey and Brad I hope your candy stick is still lasting and flavorful.

This was the 2 resort cabin looking places that we stayed in. It was nice that everyone had a bed and slept so comfortably. Thank goodness to mom and dad and all their time shares that we visit every year. We are all looking forward to Mexico this summer.

The mountains were amazing. They were everywere you looked. When we went hot tubbing and swimming it faced the mountains, that was surely a sight to see.

This was one of the most largest, most beautiful hotels I have been to. We hiked up to it and Lilli called it her Princess Castle, she thought it was where all the princesses lived. Once she couldn't find any of them she asked me to be Belle, off of Beauty and the Beast and of course she was Sleeping Beauty. She thought this motel was quite something. It was fun using our imaginations and acting the part. We saw many different statues and neat things, but Lil's loved this one the most, she called it her night. I love the purity and excitement that arrives in little children's minds. It really doesn't take alot, it builds character and definatly makes life alot more fun.

Josh always has a blast with babies. I love watching them because they love him back just as much. I am so lucky to have a husband who is so good with children and who shows it whenever he is around them. All I know is that he will make an amazing daddy one day.
