A Miracle Made Perfect

About a week ago one of Josh's sisters had a cute little baby boy. As Josh and I sat in the hospital watching the little guy, we both were realizing how much of an actual miracle each baby that makes it to earth is. If you think about how a baby starts out as a little egg and develops in 9 months, it is hard to understand how some do not believe in God. Just the whole creation of a baby is a huge miracle.

There is no wonder of why babies are so precious. They are so tiny, fragile, innocent and perfect. Isn't it crazy to think about how us, imperfect people, can bear such innocent and perfect children. When it is Josh's and my turn to be parents, I can not even imagine the bond that is built between a little baby who grows within the womb and is growing everyday inside of you. We look forward to this time, but until then we are just enjoying all of our nieces and nephews being born and who are already older ages.

Babies are miracles brought down to people like all of us, to teach us alot about ourselves and to help us learn to be more patient, understanding and loving people. I am currenlty a 3rd grade teacher and have 24 students in my class. Everyday I try to make my students realize their worth and to believe in themselves. I have grown to love each of my students for differnet reasons. I feel that my class is so much fun and I would not change it for any other job. For me, this is my dream job and I absolutley feel so loved by my students. As I teacher, I have come to learn more about myself and I have put my heart into these wonderful children. I honestly believe that children bring so much happiness and joy to our lives. I love teaching and everyday I get paid so much, of course not financially, but emotionally and spiritually.

Lessons to Learn

As I was talking about blogging the other day with one of my many sisters, it was so interesting what she said. She said it was all beautiful people telling everyone about how great their lives and theirr husbands were. As I thought about her comment, I agreed with that because as I look at everyone elses blogs we all see what everyone is up to and usually we always post the best and cutest pictures that we have, thanks to digital cameras. I think it is wonderful how everyone brags or should I say comments about how wonderful and great their family and husbands are. That's what we should be doing. I hope everyone thinks that their husband and family is the bests. I don't look at it as a bragging or a selfish way of exposing how much better anyone is, I just think it is a great way of contemplating and letting others know how much you love them and feel for others. I mean, isn't that what we should all be doing on a continual basis. Sometimes we don't tell or express how wonderful the people who are closest to us are. I have found this blogging experience to be more of a time to think and to thank the Lord above and all those that mean so much to me through writing.

This week I have learned a great lesson from the Lord, through an experience. I feel that I have always known this but never actually fully understood it:
The Lord has a plan for each one of us and at anytime he can take anything or anyone away from us. Thus, I have learned how important it is to have a deep, passionate and trustworthy relationship with our Father and Son in Heaven. It is only through them that we can aquire enough strengh to get through the hard trials that come our way so fast. Trials are to make us stronger. I will admit that there has been times in my life where I do not understand the reason behind the situation I was given, yet I do know that the Lord has a reason for all things. I am thankful that God knows all, and that he is constantly cheering me on in life. I love my Savior and know that he is here for me every step of the way.(Just as he is there for all of you too.)

Jumping Jacks

To celebrate our friends daughter's birthday, we all spent Saturday afternoon at Jumping Jacks in Springville.
Thanks Nicki and Doug for being so much fun and for being such great friends to us. We love you guys.

The guys were more about the basketball and football, yet we all had a great time.

I always love holding and playing with the little ones, they are so much fun.

The little birthday girl was so excited about her build a bear. She thought it was pretty neat creating her own little wolf.

Happy Birthday Maddie!!

Day of Love

Josh and I always make Valentine's a two day celebration. This is so each of us get a day to pamper and spoil the other. Thus, I got to have him the day after Valentine's Day. .

The way to my mans heart is quite easy and very similar for many men. All you need is food, entertainment and love. For Josh's Valentine's I planned exaclty what I knew he loved to do. We got dressed up and went out to eat to the resturant, Tucono's. Josh was in heaven, he had unlimited amounts of all sorts of meat and pineapple. Then we hit a new movie that had just came out into theaters. The rest of the night ended in a romantic Valentine's Evening with just the TWO OF US!

It's Fun to Be A Bit Cheezy and To Go Out On A Limb to Woooo The Other Person.

Love is definalty a gift from God, granted to those who give love in return.

I LOVE everything about LOVE!!

WE LOVE OUR FAMILY SO MUCH. WE WERE BOTH TALKING ABOUT HOW BLESSED WE ARE TO HAVE SUCH AMAZING BROTHERS, SISTERS AND PARENTS WHO SUPPORT US THROUGH EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. I KNOW IT IS NOT NORMAL IN SOCIETY TO BE COMFORTABLE AND ACCEPTED BY ALL PARTS OF BOTH FAMILIES. YET, WE FEEL DIFFERENT.WE KNOW THAT WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE EACH ONE OF THEM. AS I CONTEMPLATE UPON MY INLAWS, I FIND IT WIERD TO CALL THEM INLAWS, BECAUSE I JUST CALL THEM BROTHERS OR SISTER OR MOM. I LOVE THAT. WITH MOM I FEEL LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY. MOM GOES OUT OF HER WAY ALL THE TIME JUST TO CALL US AND BE INVOLVED IN OUR LIFE. THANKS FOR GIVING US SUPPORT AND FOR ALWAYS TREATING ME AS YOUR OWN. I FEEL A GREAT BOND WITH MY OTHER MOTHER, SHE IS ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS.
I LOVE YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR BEING YOU!!!!

Josh's Sweet Charm on Valentine's Day

My dear sweetheart surprised me on Valentine's Day. As I walked into the house after a long day of work and a Valentine's Party for my 3rd graders, I opened the door and there infront of me was a trail of beautiful rose peddles that lead to the kitchen and our bedroom. It smelt like roses everywhere and I was shocked with the amount that covered the floor. As I followed the roses, they lead to our bedroom where he had decorated my bed. It was so cute.

The other path that lead to the kitchen directed me to a dozen red roses and a beautiful tia dinner.

After an amazing dinner, Joshy ran me a bubble bath, full of salt crystals and rose peddles. It was so relaxing, romantic and perfect. The rest of the night was our time together.

My sweetheart stole my heart once again. He definatly made me feel like a princess, and I will admit, I love that he goes out of his way just to remind me how much I mean to him. Thanks babe for all you did to make this day so perfect. I LOVE YOU!!

Our Family Fortune is Forever

God has truly blessed me,
yes this is so true;
With a loving family,
thats as special as you.
For family is a blessing,
that God freely gives;
To enrich the beauty and splender,
of this life we live;

To be blessed with a family,
that truly loves and cares;
One that helps with all the burdens,
that in life we bare;
Is a truly special,
special blessing in deed,
For family is a comfort,
in your hour of need.

We are a special family,
and we believe it's true,
As long as God may let me live,
I will always love all of you!

I love my Father and Mother for raising me so right,
and always being there for me to lead me in the light.

Father:
I have always been a daddy's girl and looked up to my dad,
for the example he has set for me and done so naturally.

My father is a wonderful person
Too little understood,
And we do not sing his praises
As often as we should...

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...

And Father struggles daily
To live up to "HIS IMAGE"
As protector and provider
And "hero or the scrimmage"...

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

And if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where only few can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be...

But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...

But Fathers are just WONDERFUL
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise,

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...

And like OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be ALWAYS ON OUR SIDE.

Mother:
You wiped away many tears,
And even calmed many fears.

You have kissed all sorts of parts,
You even somehow healed broken hearts.

You gave your love without a second thought,
You gave lectures when our mistakes you caught.

But you also gave hugs for no reason at all,
You held us tight whenever a tear would fall.

You gave us the courage to walk alone,
You gave us the love of a real home.

You endured many things just for our sake,
Your love was genuine so much love would be hard to fake.

You are truly a gift from God above,
Only He could’ve made you with that much love.

Stacy and Josh

Stacy
Stacy has always been an amazing big sister to me. I have learned many things from Stacy. She is truly an inspiration of being an incredible young mother to her two dear girls. Stacy is someone I can lean on and talk to at any given time and never feel threatened or nervous to express my feelings to. Thanks for being there to listen and say words of comfort. We have so much fun with our husbands, since they are both jokers. Thanks goodness for big sisters who pave the correct path.
Josh
Josh is the older brother I never had. I could never ask for someone better for my sister. He is in mad love with her and I have always appreciated how he is so rightous and humble. For many years he watched over me and gave me great advice on men. Thankfully I found my own husband all by myself. I enjoy Josh's one on one talks were the spirit is strong and sincere.
Lilli

Lilli was our first niece and therefore has been spoiled extremely and by all of her Aunts and grandparents. She is full of enthusiasm, excitement for life and the ability to turn all of our faces to happy expressions. I have never seen a little girl love princesses so much. She constantly thinks she is one of the princesses on a daily basis. Lilli is very smart and has been able to sing the whole song, naming off all the prophets since she was about 2 1/2 years old. She is a good older sister and is realizing that it is fun to play with someone close to her age. We love little Lils.
Isabella

Then there is Isabella, she is a complete angel. She is so easy going and a bundle of joy. I never thought I could love the second one as much as I did the first niece, yet she is so cute that you can't resist her personality and cutness. Josh secretly says she is her favorite, cause he can joke more around with Izzy alot. Plus, Izzy is a complete cuddler. She's a baldy, yet she's also one that you just crave to hold and play with.

Lindsey:

Lindsey is the sister right below me in age. She has definalty been a sister of growth and pressing forward. I have always loved Lindsey's crazy side, when she knows how to have fun. Lindsey has taught me how to love unconditionally. I have learned through her example that anything is possible. I am proud on Linny-Lou and the big decisions she has made, she has shown alot of strenght during weak times. I love you Linny and know you can do anything you put your mind to.
Amber and Brad:

Amber has shown so much growth in the last few years. Wow, she is my youngest sister yet has taught me about seeking dreams. Amber is very dedicated and makes things happen. She has taught me about hard work and perserverance by the way she lives her life. I have gained a deeper relationship with her and am so greatful to have a sister who knows just what to say at the right times. Amber has grown a ton and is an incredible person as she seeks out her dreams and always makes it a priority to stay close with family.
Brad
Brad is a great addition to our family. He is the perfect man for my sister and is such a soft spoken, fun loving, yet down to earth brother. We are so gratful to have him as our brother and to be welcomed with such open arms. Brad has a way of making others feel comfortable and making jokes without wanting the center of attention. Brad has taught me about patience and humility. He is definatly a blast to play games with, since he masters almost everyone of them.
Mike:

Michael is my favorite brother and only brother. He is the youngest and I have always felt a great connection with him. Mike is very sarcastic and knows how to dish it out. He makes us laugh and is outgrowing everyone in the family. Mike's personality is all around exciting and interesting. You never know his next move. Yet, when he makes time for the family, we all know he loves us and that his heart is into us. I love my bud Mike and only hope for the best for him. These first few years right out of highschool are the most crutial. I know he will follow his heart and choose the right path for his future. I love ya buddy!

So far, we are the married children in our family. Luckily, every single one of them fit in and all get along. I could never ask for a better family then the one I was born into, and the one I was married into. We are all a big huge happy family.

Happy Valentines to my wonderful family who are miles and miles away at this time. I just wanted each of you to know how special we feel to have you in our hearts all the time. Even though we are miles away we are always close enough. I hope each of you know the love we have for you now and always. Stay close always and forever!!

Christmas Craz

I have realized that Christmas is always more enjoyable and exciting when their are little ones running around. Their anticipation and imagination always gets me even more excited. This year it was my 2 nieces that created that feeling. They were so excited and had so much energy and it wore off on all of us. They are just to cute to resist.

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. There are so many reasons why this holiday is the time I look forward to every year. As I have experienced many different Christmas's, I have learned alot about the true meaning of this celebration for our Savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas time is always a little happier and joyful. It is a time where others go out of their way to help those who are less fortunate. I give thanks to my dear parents who have always provided us with an opportunity to serve and give to a family during this time. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is to gather boxes full of food, clothing and a christmas tree for a different family every year and to deliver it anonomously. During these times I have always felt closer to god and a warm feeling that burns within as we pass the house and see the gifts gathered.

Christmas is a time to celebrate relationships and love for our Savior and our family.

Hanging out in our pj's, talking, playing games and laughing is what us Leavitt's have a hoot doing.

I love the times I can be together with my sisters. We always end up crying, laughing, hugging, play fighting and enjoying each other abit to much.

Petr from the Czech Republic visits America- 4 months stay with us

We were very grateful to have Petr as our exchange student from the Czech Republic. He lived with us for 4 months. He was such a great 14 year old. Petr was so much fun and always cracking jokes. He helped out alot around the house and everyone who met him loved him. We were honored to have him become part of our family for a while. It was like having a child that I never actually had. Josh and I grew to love him and only wish the best for him in his future. We enjoyed showing him what America, the country of plenty, had to offer. He always said that Americans were spoiled. I agree we are so blessed, compared to other countries.
