July 4th Celebration

As a yearly tradition, we always make it to the Provo July 4th Parade. James actually was able to enjoy this one, since he is old enough now. His big hits were the Curious George balloon, the missionaries, the pirates and being with his cousins of course. He is so loved by them and they still call him Baby James. It is so much fun seeing him interact and play with them. He sure has his favorites though, he will constantly pull their hands, sit on their laps and sometimes give them hugs and kisses if they are lucky. He didn't love the heat, but he was a trooper... It was HOT! He was all about sitting in a different spot every 10 minutes and helping himself to any food or candy sitting around.
We watched fireworks from Jessica's house and had root beer floats. Yet the best part of the night was watching all the kids put off fire crackers and everything else they had. James took it easy watching in amusement with his Nana. James gets very jealous if his Nana is holding someone else and he is not on her lap. Yet he can share her, but has to be with her too.
Happy 4th of July everyone. Thanks to the freedoms we have and the country we live in. It is a place of plenty and possibilities are endless. Side note: Happy Canada Day too on the 1st of July, I love the country in which I am from too. It is so similar to the U.S. Plus, my family is still there, so thanks to Canada for taking care of my family.

1st Camping Trip

Yes, it is true.... It was Josh and my first time camping together. It was also James' first time out there too. We went with our friends, Shambray and Alex. They seriously prepared this trip amazingly and we just had a relaxing, dirty, and yummy trip- thanks to Alex the main chef.
James never stopped, we made him his personal sand box and his own little waiting pool. I was all about him getting dirty and loving it, so we had to change him about 3 time a day. Camping is defiantly something we want to do again. James didn't last to long just hanging by the fire, he was more about the sand, rocks, wood and his favorite dog, Buddy.
I will admit that camping is the best with the two men you love best. And of course our little girl was there with us too, she just kept warm and close to momma the whole time.

Nielson Cali Trip

BEACH FUN
For Josh's family trip we went to California, which is now a summer tradition. We got to stay at a beach house, which was like a minute walk to the beach. Looking out the window was a perfect view of the beach. I love this trip especially for two reasons. These reasons being I get to be with amazing family and I get to relax and really enjoy the ocean and sun. We were there a little less then a week, thanks to Josh's work which let us stay a few extra days. Every single day we went to the beach. James absolutely loved it. He is our little beach bum. He spent hours in the sand, exploring and even taking some waves. He didn't like how cold it was, but he was so content just playing in the sand and rocks with his cousins.
DISNEY LAND
For my 29th Birthday I had a great day. My sister and brother, Melissa and Jason, paid for our family to go to Disney Land with everyone. James was so spoiled to go, all I got to say is that he has been overstimulated and spoiled during the month of June. I hope he realizes that most kids wait to go to these places their whole life. And that this reality summers. He loved Buzz Light Year. He was scared of Mickey Mouse and loved the kiddie rides. He lasted for the fireworks and then zonked on the way home, like all of us.
GIRLS NIGHT OUT
Another night we had a girls night out for my birthday dinner. We went into a nice area, yet the recommendation to go to an Italian restaurant, was a flop for the quality of food. Fun was had! Thanks family for a wonderful, fun and entertaining birthday. One year closer to 30 , wow!! Melissa and Jason, thanks a ton for the invite and for your wonderful kindness and love. You guys made it possible for all of us to stay close. You are such a blessing in our lives!!

Counting Down the Weeks

Here I am week after week..... 30 weeks32 weeks33 weeks
34 weeks
Our little girl is growing a ton. My tummy doesn't feel like it can stretch anymore. She is such a mover. She is constantly kicking my belly, especially under my right rib. It has been so much fun carrying her. She's been very good to me. No throwing up, sicknesses. The only thing that is uncomfortable is when I am sleeping. Doctor orders me to sleep on my left side, so that can be uncomfortable, also I get these charlie horses in my legs and toes, they kill!! I'm tired, but I just think that is a mommy thing you have to learn to deal with. I have been so excited about having a little girl. I have loved the whole girly shopping and handy-downs. To have a little angel join our family will be such a great blessing. Everyone has been thinking that she will look just like me. I hope so, I would love to have a daughter with dark skin, hair and eyes. Yet, if we had another blondie, she would look just like her brother and fit right in. Pregnancy is great. I have always loved the whole development and the miracle that is happening within my body. I feel a great connection with her already and am always pushing down on my belly and talking to her to have even a better connection.

Richmond, Virginia

After our awesome family trip, James and I went with my oldest sister and her family to Richmond, Virginia for a week and a half. We did a lot, but the thing that I loved the most was just being with my baby every single second. The thing I didn't like the most was being away from Josh. Daddy was totally missed by the big guy. Some nights he would just miss his daddy so much and yell his name out a few times.
As we drove the 15 hours, James did a really good job, he even slept the majority of the time, which allowed me to get some zzzzz in too. I was really impressed with Stacy and Josh's stomping grounds. They have a cute house and the area was so beautiful and lusciously green.
We all went to church the next day. James is still struggling to stay quite the whole hour. He's doing better, but his body just can't handle sitting for so long.
We were all so tired so the first day back we just chilled and had the kiddo's play in the sprinklers.James and cousin Talmage did pretty good, but since James is so used to being the youngest, he sometimes acted a little aggressive thinking Talmage was trying to take things from him on purpose. I'm sure age has a lot to do with that. Talmage did a great job holding his own though, being the youngest and all. They were so cute to watch playing together. I am sure they will be complete buds when they grow up.
James even got to have a late night with his cousins, while Stacy and I went out for dinner and got some craft supplies and went shopping for some cute baby girl stuff. He felt pretty special. James adores his oldest cousin, Lilli, she is such a good helper, totally protects him and spends time with him. Lilli is a growing into such a beautiful girl and what makes her so special is her kind heart and willingness to do what is right. She always thinks about what Jesus would do. Thanks for being a good example Lilli and for sharing your bed with me.
Another day we went to the Child's Museum. It was so entertaining. We saw so much. James just kept going and going and going.
He rode a dinosaur, worked at the local grocery store, milked a cow, picked apples off a tree, fixed the wheel on a car, drove an ambulance, painted for his first time, got naked and played in the small stream with a kyak, rode his favorite tractor, played in a huge sand box, went through a cave, etc. It was a fun filled place.
Our Hunky Good-looking, Studly Batman's. Thanks auntie Stacy for the fun shirt.
Later on during the week, we headed to the Beach for the day!!
It was his first time at the beach this year and he was a total boy. Dirty, Wet, Messy and Loving It. His favorite thing was to crawl into the hole and role around in the water like a little piggy. When it came to the waves James is out there, the waves even took him out a few times.
I kind of went over the top on flowers for my little girl. Once I started, I wouldn't stop. Some nights we stayed up until like 1:00. They were just so fun and we were coming up with some really cute ideas. All I gotta say, is my little sweetheart is gonna have a different flower on her head probebly everyday. I love it!! I just love my sis, Stacy too. She is an incredible mother and a great example to me. I loved being with her and I love how our relationship is so close, I just wish we lived closer together, to run errands together, to have play dates, to craft together and just help eachother out. I love you Stacy, thanks for having me stay and for your family's kindness. You're the best!!
Stacy took us to an animal petting zoo. It was stunning and pretty cool to see all the animals so close up.
Then there is Isabella. She bounces to her own beat and can be such a tease. I love her silly side and her cute little comments. She's a doll to be around, yet very possessive of Talmage, as she gets mad at James for doing little baby stuff. She is a very good sister and James liked playing with her.
The kids loved seeing the bobcats, goats, birds, eagles, owls, fishes, roosters, chickens, pigs, etc. But by far their favorite was the close up look of the........
......BEAR.
We were so lucky to see them so close, I guess this is the closest they have been to the gate in a long time. James cried when we had to leave, he was amused with everything they did and how big they were.
I just wanted to say thank you to my parents who made this all possible. If it was not for them I would not have had such an eventful summertime with my little man. They paid for the flight to Florida and a return ticket from Virgina. You two are the most giving, selfless, thoughtful, loving, kind, and amazing individuals I have ever met. Thanks for all the sacrifices you have made to make our family a priority and to keep our relationships close. A big thank you , from James too. He loves you Gama and Gampa!
