James at 8 months

Our little man has achieved so much this last month.
He weighed in at 18 lbs 6oz.
He has now received the official name of
"The HULK".
For many reasons this name suites him perfectly. He is so strong for an 8 month year old. He eats like a champ, downing about a bowl of oatmeal or rice cereal, and a jar or two of baby food. He is quite intense whenever he grabs something he puts it into his mouth and demolishes almost anything he puts his hands on. He can hold his own pretty well and just this week he has been doing push-ups and just yesterday he started crawling a little bit. It is so cute when he does, because he will get up on his hands and feet and hold it for about 10 seconds, trying to decide what to do next. Than he will get down on his knees and crawl forward a few inches and then fall on his tummy and do it all over again.I am sure he will be crawling full speed this week. He has caught on like a champ. We are all very impressed. Poor little guy just got his first boo-boo. He was sitting at grandma's house doing his new crawl, he found a piece of rock off the fireplace that was loose and was playing with it, then suddenly conk, right below his eye. Once again he proves his toughness by letting out two solid cries and that was it. It was so sad seeing the area swell up a bit and get red. Sadly, I am sure there are going to be a lot more of these. James has become very used to this car seat as he has traveled many hours, slept many hours in it and has cried when being buckled in. He will soon be moving to his big boy car seat, probably soon after we get home from our family trip. He is still a complete lover of the outdoors. This month we have gone walking with a group of my girl friends and their babies. It is so great for us and the kids. They love it. One of my friends, let James ride along with his buddy, Caden. It was so much fun and James just loved the bike ride. James kept on patting Caden's leg out of excitement and he just kept on smiling his head off. I really want to get a bike carrier or trailer soon. He loves it. Nana let James borrow her Johny Jumper. He liked it for about 10 minutes at a time. Then he would cry to get out. I guess the stimulation wasn't enough. He would way rather be rolling and crawling around and examining everything he sees. He is quite the curious boy. He seems so interested in everything that is new to him. The Hulk is wearing 9-12 month clothing. He loves his silky and seems to only be able to go to sleep with it. It is so dear to watch him rub it between his fingers and when he is really tired he closes his eyes and rubs it on his face. He loves the smoothness. James is totally into balls and toys. He always has to have something to keep him occupied. He is not a cuddler at all, unless he is overly tired, than he'll fall right to sleep in my arms. Those moments are so sweet.
We love our little bundle of joy and man, he brings smiles to us everyday.
Almost everytime we go somewhere we are always told that James is quite a flirt. He smiles at all the pretty girls all the time. I guess he knows a pretty girl when he sees one.
James better know how much he is loved. He is constantly being kissed over and over again. We love you so much!!
