August Update

Well, this last month has been super busy. We had a very successful Young Womens camp up Payson canyon. We did not rough it one bit. We only had to cook 2 meals and had stake cooks the rest of the time, we slept in cabins and we had a complete blast being all together and playing tons of crazy games and going snipe hunting with the Beehives(one of my favorites). We won best chant for our crazy morning call, where we all ratted our hair and danced to "Thriller", by Michael Jackson. We did a good job, so good that we preformed it about 3 or 4 times for other groups, including the bishopric. Testimony meeting was another of my favorites, because these girls are so amazing and have such a wonderful spirit with them. This was a week that I learned alot about myself and others. I love the Young Womens and feel so blessed to be with them every week. Last week we finished remodeling mom and dad's new apartment investment that they have here in Utah. Josh and I helped mom and dad get girls into a 6 girl apartment at BYU. We made a place that looked worn and old, look like new. Even though I was the runner, or should I say the one who went shopping for furniture, paint, food, ect while everyone else painted. I had to keep my baby safe during this time, and I wasn't complaining. It was so great having mom and dad down for the weekend. I love them so much and can't wait to see them in about 2 weeks again. Thanks parents for being so generous and loving us all the time. We have also enjoyed many visitors this summer, little ones, young ones and adults. Josh and I have always had the mentality of welcoming anyone to our house and hoping they feel comfortable. We love visitors and have totally enjoyed family and friends who have stayed with us. Believe us when we say,"The more the better". One of the many things I love so much about my husband is that he is a total people person just like me and that we both love being around people all the time. I love that my husband can be so entertaining and is kind to everyone he meets, plus people love him( including me, I mean how could you not). I have really enjoyed serving with these great YW leaders. It is always a comfort going to church and knowing so many people. Josh and I have really gotten to know so so many people since we have gotten our new callings. Primary was great and all, yet it is nice communicating with adults and the youth. We love our ward and have made so many friends. Thanks to all of you who make our lives a little more colorful and exciting. This past weekend, Josh helped coach his first Salem High School Football game. It was fun watching him, because football is one of his great passions and he works so well with the young boys. I never really realized how intense footbal was, until I sat in on a practice. Wow, those boys fight to their death. I know our little boy will either love football or be brain washed from his daddy that football is the Sport to love. I look forward to seeing Josh with our little one. His love for babies and children has always been so strong. When I watch him with all of his nieces and nephews, it is evident that he is a natural. He is loved by all of them and they always looks forward to seeing their Uncle Joshy. We attended the first BYU home game and sat in the middle front row seats on the visitors side. I love going to BYU games and being right their on the action. I am actually learning more about the game. Before I used to go more for the social event than anything else, yet my husband seems to teach me a bit each time we go. Once the game ended at around 8:00, we headed to Vegas and didn't get there until 2 AM. All the family was there and we all enjoyed baby Beckam's baby blessing that same morning. When ever Josh's family gets together it is a big party of loudness. There are about 18 little munchkins running around and all of us adults. There is never a dull moment when we are all together. Thanks to Melissa and Jason for being such hostesses and for feeding the big clan and entertaining us. I also started teaching school again. I am at Liberty Academy again teaching 3rd grade and loving it. This school is so great. I love the curriculum, the staff and the spirit that is there. My 30 students are so great and it is my passion to teach these little minds. Ever since my first year(which was last year) I have realized that one of my greatest loves in life is to make a difference in children's lives. As I teach these little children, I claim them as my own and I really cherish them and always want the best for them. I fall in love with the students I teach and therefore give my all when teaching. So many of these kids just need to be loved and believed in. It is great to have a job that I enjoy going to everyday and the best pay is knowing that I have made a small difference in a childs life, for it is not the money, but it is the inward pay that I recieve each day. 2 teach is 2 touch lives _____________ 4 ever
